The Centro Medico Italiano is a centre of excellence for ophthalmology and physiotherapy. It is in the centre of Milan, near Brera, in an area with all services.
The Centro Medico Italiano is in the lower ground level of a building and covers an area of about 300 square meters. It has:

- Multi-functions Medical clinic
- Medical contact lens service
- Eye diagnostic and facilities clinic
- Sterilisation unit
- Surgical clinic

Dr Marco Alberti
Health Director
Dr Marco Alberti has been a doctor since 1982, concentrating on every branch of ophthalmology. To date he has carried out the following: refractive surgery with the Lasik, Lasek and PRK and SMILE techniques, cataract, keratoplasty and keratoconus operations, glaucoma, associated parts of the eye, iris, vitreoretinal operations and operations on the tear duct.
Dr Lorenzo Marchi
Ophthalmological Surgeon
Dr Lorenzo Marchi has practised as a doctor since 1997, the year he specialised in Ophthalmology, graduating with honours from the University of Milan.
He carries out specialist tests using the most modern diagnostic tools (computerised topographer, fluorangiography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), pachymeter, endothelial microscope, perimeter, etc.). He performs refractive surgery as first and second operator, and surgery of the anterior and posterior segments.
His training is constantly updated by regular participation in congresses and seminars. He has been working with the Centro Medico Italiano for about 15 years.
Dr Katharina Sirch
Ophthalmological Surgeon
Dr Katharina Sirch specialised in Ophthalmology at the University of Munich. After experience and training both in Italy and abroad, she has been a freelance doctor in Milan for 11 years. She is mainly concerned with ophthalmoplasty surgery, aesthetic medicine and anti-aging.
She has worked with the Centro Medico Italiano for about 10 years.
Graziella Urso
Physiotherapy Service Manager
Dr Graziella Urso has practised the profession since 1983 and is concerned with the rehabilitative programmes of neurological, rheumatologic, orthopaedic and paediatric diseases.
She spends most of her time on the re-education of fractures, tendon injuries, peripheral nerve lesions of the hand and upper limbs, and the over-use syndromes of musicians. She designs and makes up customised splints for hand conditions.
She is the clinical practice tutor for students on the Physiotherapy degree course.
The professionals supporting the medical work of the Centro Medico Italiano are:
- 1 orthoptist assistant in ophthalmology
- 1 low vision therapist
- 1 nurse
